Frequently Asked Questions
Each VPS has 2 backup slots as standard. You can set a schedule for automated backups or just create backups on demand. Backups are stored remotely.
Whilst we take every effort to prevent data loss and do take backups of the hypervisors, customers are responsible for ensuring they have regular remote backups of their own.
Port 25 is blocked and will only be lifted on services with more than 3 months prepayment on accounts with good standing. Our services must not be used for bulk or unsolicited mail purposes.
If you must send mail from your VPS then we suggest you use a third-party relay.
We only provide technical support for issues related to the VPS platform itself or network issues that are outside of the control of your VPS. We do not offer management on Linux VPS or Windows VPS however we do offer Managed cPanel VPS services.
Managed cPanel VPS or Managed cPanel Server orders are usually fulfilled within 24-hours of receiving payment however may take longer for a particularly custom requirement or dedicated server order.
Depending on availability and service ordered, your server may be located in Midlands, UK or London, UK. Both datacentres are ISO-27001 certified and built to an exceptionally high specification with full redundancy for power, cooling and network.
Our services benefit from DDoS protection using the latest Corero Edge Threat Defence mitigation solutions.
DDoS Protection is provided on a best-effort basis.
Advanced DDoS mitigation is available for an additional cost.
We’re using VirtFusion as the virtualization management software. Direct access to VirtFusion is provided.
Physical servers are currently Intel Xeon Silver 4114 CPUs with DDR4 ECC RAM and RAID-10-backed SATA SSD Storage.
The London Xeon VPS service does not use NVMe’s or high-frequency CPUs.
The servers are located in Telehouse, London. Connected via AS42831. AS42831 has over 2Tbps of external capacity including direct peering connections to many large network providers in the UK and EU.
Resource usage is subject to fair-usage unless otherwise explicitly stated
A real world example of fair usage being enforced is if you are using 80% of 1 vCPU for 1 hour frequently throughout the month, then you may be asked to upgrade to the next plan up with additional vCPU resources or your resources may be restricted if it poses a threat to other services on the physical server.
Anything legal in the UK and in your own country of residence and does not pose a risk to our hosting services as a whole.
